The Glorious Oyster

On the Tarka TrailSeaside

Why we stop here

A beachside seafood shack on the estuary at Instow. A scenic Tarka Trail stop for when a flapjack just won't cut it.

Getting there by bike

The Glorious Oyster is in Instow (Tarka Trail). Make a day of it: Puffing Billy and Yarde Orchard are on the same patch.

Opening times

We couldn't find opening times published by the café itself, so we'd rather not guess.

Cafés change their hours with the seasons and shut for the odd holiday, so check their own site before you set off. We'd hate to be the reason for an avoidable bonk.

The Bonk

A dark, full-throttle espresso for the days your legs say no and you ride anyway. £11.50 a bag, freshly roasted and posted to your door.
