Bovey Tracey · Dartmoor
A friendly Bovey Tracey spot on the edge of Dartmoor that pulls in cyclists and locals alike. Good coffee, everyone welcome.
Lewdown, near Okehampton · Dartmoor
A working vineyard on the edge of Dartmoor with a kitchen and bar that punches well above its weight: good coffee, homemade cakes and a proper lunch menu if you've earned it. A treat of a stop, not just a pit stop.
Broadwoodwidger, near Lifton · Dartmoor
A lakeside café on the edge of Dartmoor, a few minutes off the A30 between Okehampton and Launceston. Big picture windows over the water, Devon-roasted Cartwright coffee, cakes, fry-ups until noon and a proper lunch menu. A cracking spot to refuel with a view.
Great Torrington · Tarka Trail
Parked at the old Torrington station right on the Tarka Trail. A classic refuel: tea, cake and plenty of company in lycra.
Instow · Tarka Trail
A beachside seafood shack on the estuary at Instow. A scenic Tarka Trail stop for when a flapjack just won't cut it.
Peters Marland, near Great Torrington · Tarka Trail
Closed until 13 Feb 2027
A café and bar in a renovated 1930s sailor's dormitory, sat right on the Tarka Trail a few miles south of Torrington. Good coffee, local ciders and ales, and free charging if your electric bike's running low.
Okehampton · Granite Way
Bike hire and a dog-friendly café at the start of the Granite Way, with a menu built on local produce. Bike and brew sorted in one stop.
Sourton · NCN27 / Granite Way
Right on the A30 at Sourton, and a stone's throw from the Granite Way cycle path, sitting on the Land's End to John O'Groats route (NCN27). One of our own favourites: great coffee, great food, and a bike shop that's bailed us out more than once. Recommended to anyone passing through.
Yelverton · Drake's Trail
A proper bakery and coffee shop in Yelverton, on Drake's Trail between Plymouth and Tavistock. Everything's made on site, the swirls are the thing to get, and there's gelato if the sun's out.
Plymouth · Plymouth Barbican
A café on the Barbican that's properly mad about bikes: good coffee from Origin Coffee Roasters, a menu built on local ingredients, and a crowd of cyclists in for the rides and the Tour de France on the big screen come summer.
Yelverton · Drake's Trail
A deli and café in Yelverton, just off Drake's Trail, with a daily-changing menu of hot pasties, pies and a proper plated meal if you're stopping for longer. The cheese counter alone is worth the climb up from Plymouth.
Launceston · Tamar Valley
A farm shop and restaurant just over the Cornish border near Launceston, worth the detour if you're riding the Tamar Valley. Homemade food, proper coffee and cake, and a bakery counter to raid on the way out.
Widemouth Bay, near Bude · North Cornwall coast
A laid-back, surfy beach café at the quieter end of Widemouth Bay, tucked under the cliffs on the coast road south of Bude. Breakfasts, homemade pizzas and toasted ciabattas, sweet treats, and dogs made welcome. One we keep coming back to.

Kennford · A38
Just off the A38 at Kennford, a handy stop for anyone passing through Exeter towards Devon or Cornwall. Known for hearty breakfasts, gluten-free and vegan options, homemade cakes and indoor bike parking. We haven't stopped in ourselves yet, but it's high on our hit list.
