Right across from the Princetown visitor centre, a proper Dartmoor institution. A warm welcome whatever the weather, hearty plates, cycle hire and a bunkhouse if the legs give out.

Fox Tor Café is in Princetown (Dartmoor). Make a day of it: Café 3 Sixty, Alder Vineyard and Roadford Lake Café are on the same patch.

Opening times
- Wed–Sun
- 9am–4pm
Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Hot food until 3pm, then cakes and coffee until close.
Taken from their website in October 2026. Cafés change their hours with the seasons and shut for the odd holiday, so check their own site before you set off. We'd hate to be the reason for an avoidable bonk.
