FAQ

Everything you need to know about the coffee, the shipping and the carbon bit, minus the marginal-gains lecture.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

How fast will it arrive? +
It's roasted fresh to order, so give us a couple of days, then it's on its way. UK delivery is usually 2-3 working days after that. We'd bring it by bike, but Devon to Aberdeen takes a fortnight.
How much is shipping? +
UK shipping is a flat £3.50, and it's completely free once your order reaches £20 (that's two bags or more). Stock up, split a couple with a riding mate, and we'll cover the postage.
Do you ship internationally? +
Not yet, we're UK only for now. We've toured most of Europe on two wheels, so getting coffee over there is firmly on the list.
It turned up battered. Now what? +
Drop us a message with a photo and we'll put it right. Couriers aren't always as gentle with the parcels as we are with the panniers.

THE COFFEE

Who roasts the coffee? +
We don't, and we're proud to say so. Our coffee is roasted to order by a brilliant family-run specialty roastery in West Yorkshire, going strong since 2008. We bring the bikes, the brand and the daft names; they bring genuinely excellent coffee.
What's actually in the bag? +
Properly good coffee, roasted fresh in Yorkshire. One ingredient: 100% speciality Arabica, supplied as beans or freshly ground to your choice. We pick the blends we love to drink, the sort worth carrying to the top of a climb. Full details are on each bag.
Are there any allergens? +
Our coffee is a single ingredient (100% Arabica) and contains none of the 14 major allergens. If you've got a severe allergy, email us before ordering and we'll confirm exactly how it's handled and packed. Full ingredients, allergens and sourcing are on our Ingredients & Allergens page.
Is the coffee ethically sourced? +
Yes, and it matters to us. The green coffee is bought through transparent, traceable supply chains: every coffee is traceable back to its origin and producer group, growers are paid well above the commodity price, and we back long-term relationships with smallholder farmers who farm with the environment in mind. Good coffee shouldn't cost the earth, or the people who grow it.
How fresh is it? +
Roasted to order and sent straight out, never left hanging around. Fresher than Rich's legs after a winter on the turbo.
Why are the labels 'limited edition'? +
Because they are. We change the artwork every three months, each new set celebrating another of cycling's great clichés. When a season sells out, that label is retired for good, so collect them, frame them, or just drink the coffee before the next lot lands.
Which one should I start with? +
The Drafter if you like it smooth and easy-going, The Bonk for a proper dark hit, The KOM if you've got something to prove. You'll end up with all three eventually. It's the n+1 rule, but for coffee.

RETURNS & GRINDS

Can I return it? +
It's a food product, so we can't take it back once it's shipped. But if something's not right, tell us and we'll sort a replacement or refund. See our returns policy.
I ordered the wrong grind! +
Catch us quickly, ideally the same day. If it hasn't been roasted yet we can usually swap it. After that it's like trying to un-send your Strava kudos.
What if I don't like it? +
Tell us. We're two blokes who'd much rather you came back than quietly never returned, so we'll help you find a blend that suits.

CARBON & CLIMATE

What do you do for the planet? +
We put 1% of every order toward carbon removal through Stripe Climate, helping fund the new technology that pulls CO2 back out of the atmosphere. Small brand, real contribution. On top of that, we choose green coffee that's responsibly sourced and traceable to origin (more on our Ingredients & Allergens page).

WHO ARE THE CYCLE BROS?

So who are you, really? +
John and Rich, two brothers from Devon who've been riding together since they could reach the pedals. 'Bros' isn't a marketing gimmick; we're genuinely related, and we genuinely argue about gear ratios.
Are you actually cyclists? +
Road, gravel, mountain, we'll ride any of it. But our real weakness is loading up the panniers, strapping on a tent and disappearing for a week or three.
Where have you ridden? +
All over the UK and Europe, and a fair way beyond. Most of our favourite rides were the ones with a proper coffee waiting at the end.
Why start a coffee brand? +
We always said we would. We love riding, we love good coffee, and we wanted to celebrate both. We don't roast it ourselves, a wonderful family-run roastery in Yorkshire does that. We just bring the bikes, the brand and the daft names.
